Our Sunday Morning Worship begins with a worship service at 9:15, held in our beautiful Sanctuary. Often there is special music in the Sanctuary leading into the service. Afterward, join us for coffee and fellowship.
Wednesday Evening XPress
During the school year (October – May), we hold our Wednesday Evening XPress, with a community meal held in our Fellowship Hall starting at 5:45, with an energic, praise-based worship following at 6:30, and educational breakouts at 7:00.
Music in Worship
Music plays a significant and special role during worship at St. John’s. There are many opportunities for congregation members to participate in music, with a Chancel Choir, multiple Children’s Choirs, Bell Choirs, special music ensembles, and individual special music.

St. John’s Singers Perform with the Minnetonka Choral Society
On Sunday, December 11th, at 3pm, the Minnetonka Choral Society, under the direction of Maestro Jere Lantz, will perform a garland of carols for voice and guitar with Minnesota’s premier guitarist Jeffrey Van. The music selection includes several written by Jeffrey Van for the Dale Warland Singers as well as new arrangements of treasured favorites such as Silent Night. Stu and Judy Vandenberg, Lana Golembeski, and Joann Wangsness of our congregation sing in this Chorus.
The concert will be held at St. Therese of Deephaven (19323 Minnetonka Blvd., Wayzata). Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for students (17 and younger) and may be purchased at the door, or via a secure link at www.minnetonkachoralsociety.org. Tickets will also be available at the door.
Family Christmas Caroling Monday, December 19th 6:00 PM
This is an event for all youth [all ages], singles, adults, families…. We will meet at church and carpool to go caroling to our shut-in’s around Mound. We will return to the church for hot chocolate and cookies. Look for a sign-up sheet across from the church office. Come and join the fun!
Sunday School Christmas Program this Sunday at 6:30pm
Our Sunday School Christmas Program, “Christmas: We’re On The Air” will be presented on Sunday, December 4th at 6:30 P.M. Following the program that evening, everyone is invited to a cookie reception in the Fellowship Hall. [We will have a practice for the Program on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. in the Sanctuary]

Bring your pets to the 9:00 A.M. Outdoor Worship Service for a special “Blessing Of The Animals” liturgy on Sunday, August 21st. We will celebrate the special role that animals play in our lives.
Worshippers will have an opportunity to “introduce” their animal friends to the congregation.
