All members are asked to be present for this important meeting in the life of our congregation. Reports of the various committees and organizations will be presented and the annual budget for 2012 will be determined. Candidates for the Church Council will be voted on upon recommendation from our Nominating Committee. Additional candidates may be nominated from the floor on the day of the meeting. Please keep in mind that anyone that you desire to nominate must be consulted beforehand and he willing to serv if elected.
All standing committees are requested to submit a written report on 2011 activities for the Annual Meeting in January. The deadline on all reports to the Church Office is Friday, January 6th. No oral reports will be accepted at the Annual Meeting unless a written report has been submitted, on time, to the Church Office.
We have several Church Council members whose terms are over at the end of December 2011 and we need some people interested in directly influencing the future of St. John’s! As a member of the Council, you will be part of the primary decision-making, evaluating, and forward looking body of the church. You will support St. John’s ministry and help lead. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month. The commitment would be for 2012-2014. If this is an area that you would like to serve, please contact any of the Church Council members: Rob Beyer, Jim Welbourn, Dan Cummings, Jacqueline Kirk, George Giffin, Walt Larson, Barb Geyen, Linda Hoffmann, Kay Truwe, Paul Roberts, Craig Wolfe, Norm Meyer.
Our March Council meeting will be held on Tuesday March 8th. We are moving it up a week since the following regular third Tuesday of the month is during Mound Westonka schools spring break. Pillar group meetings and dinner will be held before the Council meeting as usual.
