We love children at St. John’s! We love our kids at St. John’s and offer a variety of educational and service opportunities for all ages. At Worship -
All children are welcome to come up for a children’s message each Sunday during worship.
Quiet Bags are available on the stand just outside the Sanctuary doors. These bags contain quiet busy activities that children can enjoy during the service. Children’s bulletins are also in pockets on this stand.
There is a nursery available providing quality child care, especially for younger children, during the worship service.
In our nursery -
The nursery is a wonderful safe and caring place for younger children who are more comfortable in a room full of toys than a room full of grown-ups! The nursery is available each Sunday morning during worship.
Parents Night Out -Safe and fun childcare is provided at church for parents who need an evening to themselves.

Grow in Faith Events 2011-12
In Baptism, we make a promise to provide instruction in the Christian faith for our children. Here at St. John’s, we want to help celebrate this journey of faith development with special family learning events. These events are educational, experiential, spiritual and fun for parents and children to attend together and will either happen on a Saturday or Sunday morning. The events are designed to be introductions to faith concepts that you as parents can take home and continue to share and discuss with your children. There is one event for each grade level per year.

Confirmation Students to Volunteer at Feed My Starving Children
Wednesday, January 25th will be a special service night for Confirmation. All Confirmation students will be going to the Chanhassen site for Feed My Starving Children to help pack meals. We will take a bus from church leaving at 7:00 P.M. and return to church at 10:00 P.M.
5th and 6th Graders…Join Us for FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE!
Friday Night Live is a fun and safe place for 5th and 6th grade students to hang out and play games such as Ping Pong, Apples To Apples, Catch Phrase, Play Station, BINGO, and more! There will be a 15 minute devotional message and, of course, pizza and pop! Our next Friday Night Live will be January 20th from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. in the Harbor. $5/student is suggested. Winter Break: Wacky Wednesday/Thrilling Thursday December 28th & 29th, 1-4pm
Hey kids! Are you looking for something to do during the Christmas break? We are having a Wacky Wednesday on December 28th for 4th – 6th graders and a Thrilling Thursday on December 29th for 1st – 3rd graders. We will have a devotion, songs, crafts, games and snacks celebrating Winter Fun.

Starting January 8th, we are adding a second Sunday School hour. We are in need of the following co-teachers (someone willing to teach every other Sunday):

Sunday School Christmas Program this Sunday at 6:30pm
Our Sunday School Christmas Program, “Christmas: We’re On The Air” will be presented on Sunday, December 4th at 6:30 P.M. Following the program that evening, everyone is invited to a cookie reception in the Fellowship Hall. [We will have a practice for the Program on Saturday, December 3rd from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. in the Sanctuary]
Safe and fun childcare is provided at church for parents who need an evening to themselves. PNO is held one Saturday evening per month from 5:00-8:00pm. A $5/child donation is requested. Parents are not required to be members of St. John’s to have their children participate.
